This Privacy Policy explains how Next Gen Point International ("School", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information through the NGPIS mobile application ("App"), available on Google Play and provided to parents and lawful guardians of students enrolled with the School.

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the NGPIS mobile app and should be read together with the App's Terms & Conditions. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information provided by parents/guardians

• Parent/guardian name, mobile number, and email address
• Login credentials (username, password, or OTP-based authentication)
• Relationship to the student (parent, guardian)

1.2 Student information (entered by the School)

• Student name, class/section, roll number, and admission details
• Attendance records
• Academic information: test scores, marks, homework, diary entries, and remarks
• Fee structure and payment status (paid, unpaid, partially paid, pending)
• Documents or details stored under "Student Vault," where applicable

1.3 Information collected automatically

• Device information (device type, operating system, app version)
• Push notification tokens, used to deliver alerts and announcements
• App usage and diagnostic data (e.g. crash logs), used to maintain and improve the App

1.4 Payment information

Where the App allows online fee payment, payment processing is handled by a third-party payment gateway. The School does not store full card, UPI, or bank account credentials; the payment gateway processes this information under its own privacy and security policies.

2. How We Use Information

Information collected through the App is used to:

• Provide access to attendance, academic records, homework, diary, and fee information
• Send school announcements, notifications, and important communications
• Verify identity and secure parent/guardian accounts
• Process and record fee payments
• Respond to support requests and resolve grievances
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App's performance and security
• Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, or administrative requirements

We do not use student or parent information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

3. How Information Is Shared

Information may be shared only in the following circumstances:

Any third-party service provider engaged by the School is permitted to process information only as necessary to provide the relevant service, and is expected to maintain appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information collected through the App against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse, including:

• Encrypted transmission of data (HTTPS/TLS) between the App and our servers
• Access controls restricting data access to authorized School personnel
• Secure authentication for parent/guardian accounts
• Regular monitoring for unauthorized access or unusual activity

While we take reasonable steps to protect information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• Student and parent information is retained for as long as the student remains enrolled at the School, and thereafter for such period as required for administrative, academic, legal, or regulatory record-keeping purposes.
• Parents/guardians may request correction of inaccurate information, or deletion of their account information, by contacting the School through the details below.
• Certain information may need to be retained even after a deletion request, where required by applicable law or legitimate School record-keeping obligations (for example, academic and financial records).
• Upon a student leaving the School, App access for the associated parent account will be deactivated in accordance with the School's data retention practices.

6. Children's Information

The App is designed for use by parents and guardians, not directly by children. Information relating to students (who may be minors) is entered and managed by the School and accessed by the student's parent or lawful guardian through their own account. By enrolling a student and using the App, the parent/guardian consents to the processing of the student's information as described in this Policy.

7. Your Choices and Rights

• You may review and request correction of information displayed in the App by contacting the School.
• You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings, though this may affect your ability to receive important School communications.
• You may request deletion of your account information, subject to the retention limitations described in Section 5.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may contain links to third-party services (such as payment gateways). This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of third parties, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, or our data practices. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Effective Date." Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
